Policies

  • ✨Please arrive on time, or up to 10 minutes early for class. If you arrive more than 15 minutes after the class start time, your instructor will determine whether or not you will be able to join the class. If you have been asked not to participate due to lateness, you will be considered a “No Show” which will result in forfeiture of the class. Every class requires a 10- 20 minute warm-up. If you are late, then you are missing the most important part of the class. The warm-up increases muscle efficiency, reduces potential for injuries, and prepares your body for the movements being performed in class. Your safety is our #1 priority, therefore, this policy will be enforced.

✨Do not practice any movement during class that is not being taught. We cannot guarantee your safety and this is grounds for dismissal from class.

    ✨Do not teach other students.

✨RESPECT your fellow students and your instructors. Sedusa has a zero tolerance policy for inappropriate treatment of others.

✨Recording of instruction is strictly forbidden.

✨We strive to keep Sedusa Dance Studio a safe environment for women to express themselves freely through dance. Because of this very intimate nature, we only allow the use of cameras when invited by your instructor.

✨All of our classes are 18 and Up, this is an adult space, and inevitably some music played during class will be of an explicit Nature. Please be understanding, and mature.

✨No street shoes are to be worn during class. This is to preserve the floors and our bodies as we dance and learn floorwork. Shoes can have dirt and debris that can scratch up the surfaces.

✨Remove jewelry from hands and arms before taking a pole class. Jewelry, especially metal, will not only scratch up the poles, but can cause damage and injury to the hands and bodies, and even your own precious jewelry! Please take it off and store in a safe place. We are not responsible for any property that may be damaged or stolen.

✨We ask that you refrain from using lotion 24 hours before a pole class, it makes the poles very slippery.

✨Under no circumstances are children (18 and under) allowed to be in the studio.

✨Lastly, and very importantly, part of what makes Sedusa Dance Studio a wonderful place to be is the positive and encouraging energy that the staff and the students share. This is very important as we begin or continue our journey of self-confidence, empowerment and sensuality in our own skin. We must all take responsibility for the energy we bring to the space, Please leave your worries, stress, and negative vibes at the door!

✨Sedusa reserves the right to refuse service to anyone, and hostility of any kind will not be tolerated.✨

  • Series Classes

✨Think of a series class as a concert ticket, if you buy a ticket to see Beyoncé and then something comes up and you can’t make it, you don’t get a ticket to see Beyoncé the next time she’s in town. And yes, we honor our team and what our company is doing for women-kind like we would Beyoncé ♥️

Due to the nature of a series class we can’t offer that spot to any other student after the series has began, for this reason there are no refunds once a Sedusa Studio Dance Series has started.

✨We require 72 hours notice before the first class of the series if you wish to cancel your registration for a refund. You may only reschedule one series class per month.

✨Make up classes may be arranged within your series dates.

✨Make-ups require approval from the studio owner.

✨No make up classes are allowed once your dance series has ended.

✨For more information about makeups and to schedule please visit our Make-ups Page Here!

    Drop-in Classes

✨We have a 24 hour early cancellation policy for all drop-in format classes. You can early cancel a drop-in format class 24hrs before it is scheduled by logging into your Bookee account and clicking on schedule. Early cancelling will add that class credit back to your account. Please take note of that pricing options expiration date and remember to reschedule that class before the pass expires.

    Workshops and Special Events

✨NO Cancellations will be refunded if signing up for a Pro Dancer Workshop, or any other event held at Sedusa (Photo shoots, Party’s, Showcases). If you are unable to attend for any reason, your best option is to find a friend to take your spot; And let us know, maybe we already know of a girl trying to get a spot, we will do everything we can to help. All money collected goes directly to the Guest Instructor or Professional, NOT Sedusa Dance Studio. Hosting visiting Professionals generally requires a minimum. If we have less than a certain number of sign ups, it is Sedusa's responsibility. For this reason, we cannot issue refunds for any event or workshop.

***Any refunds issued will be subject to a 50% cancellation fee***

  • ✨Because we keep track of when people will be absent so that we can schedule make-ups in their place, we do ask that you notify us before the missed class if you wish to make it up.

✨You can’t schedule a make-up for a make-up, so make sure the class you schedule is a class you can make it too.

✨Make-ups must take place with-in the same month as the missed class.

✨There are no “Make-ups” for Drop-in format classes. For those we have a 24hr. early cancel policy, you can log into your MindBody account (browser version is best) and cancel out of any Drop-in format class 24hrs before it is scheduled to start, that pass will go back to your account to be used in the future.

✨We CANNOT issue an account credit in place of a make-up, we do not prorate classes, and a make-up cannot be “applied” to a new series of classes.

✨Only ONE make-up per series, if you plan to miss more than 1 class from a series it may be best to try some of our drop-in classes that month. There is a $10 reschedule fee for each make-up scheduled after the first complementary make-up.

✨We can only schedule make-ups for similar class types as what you’re currently enrolled in.

✨Please remember that Make-ups are a courtesy that we offer, not a guarantee. For Sedusa to function as a business we MUST hold to our policies, thank you for respecting them <3✨

  • We have shoe requirements, not only to protect the facility, but to help you get the best experience and utilization of the shoes. It’s always easier to discuss this in person, but encase you’d prefer to read through the main requirements, we’ve made a quick list of bullet points below:

✨Must be Pole Specific shoes. We recommend Pleaser, they have a wide variety, and are good quality. We sell these in studio, you’re welcome to come in to try them on/purchase a pair before or after a class you’re in. Our staff is great at helping you find the right pair with regard to size and fabrication.

✨7” platforms are recommended for beginners. We know it sounds high, but because of the platforms they are very comfortable (they’ll probably be the most comfortable heels you’ve ever put on, they are “work” shoes after all 😉). This height allows us to do more refined heel work. When browsing we recommend look for the style names Sky or Adore.

✨Shoes must be free of rhinestones or metal on the platforms, or metal buckles up the front. While rhinestones can be beautiful, and boots can be fun, the adornments may damage the poles/floor.

✨Your dance shoes must not be worn outside. We Love to roll around on the beautiful, sprawling hard wood dance floor at Sedusa, and that wouldn’t be as enjoyable if there was dirt and rocks on the floor, so as a rule, no street shoes on the dance floor

  • Rules of the Rosè Room:

✨The Rosè room is STRICTLY Solo practice time. Only approved students are able to use this space, NEVER bring a guest that has not been explicitly approved by the studio management.

✨Reservations are for 1 hour at a time, if you wish to stay longer please book ahead of time so as to not interfere with other students' reservations.

✨This reservation is for the Rosé Room only, not the Champagne room. To reserve the Champagne room please email the studio!

    ✨Cancellations fall under our Drop-in cancellation/reschedule policy.

✨Students are expected to do a proper warm-up, and only practice things they’ve learned in previous classes, and that they feel safe and confident doing without guidance/a spotter.

✨Moving/shifting of anything in the Rosè room is prohibited, this is included but not limited to the chair, mirrors, stereo, and lights

  • ✨For classes that say “Masks Required “ all students and staff are required to wear a mask at all times. If you need to take it off to breathe/rest please head to the door located past the lobby (entrance) or past the cage (exit).

✨Please arrive dressed for class (wearing your pole clothes under your street clothes is a great and easy solution) and with as few bags as possible! The bathroom is *not* a dressing room.

✨Please limit personal items brought into the studio, keep it to necessities (i.e. shoes, grip, rubbing alcohol/washcloth, and water). Please bring your own water to class if needed, as we will not be using the water dispenser at this time to cut back on shared items. ✨All students and staff should do their best to maintain at least 6ft distance from all other guests/staff.

✨Verbal symptom/exposure screenings will be done to each individual who enters the premises. If you do not clear the health check you will be unable to attend classes until you are symptom free. If you are feeling unwell, or have been around someone who is ill please do not come to class.
We have extended the makeup window to 12 weeks, so that everyone feels comfortable staying home rather than coming in potentially sick. No shows(not giving us notice that you will miss your scheduled class) will forfeit the class. Staff and clients must agree to temperature checks. If you are in class and seem to be sick, your teacher may send you home.

✨We require students and teachers to wash their hands or use sanitizer before starting class. We have hand sanitizer available to use but if possible please use yours as we have limited amounts as well. And please remember, your phone is like a third hand, make sure you are cleaning your phone as part of your hygiene routine.

✨Everyone must bring their own pole towel. If needed, you can rent a wash cloth from the studio for $3.

✨By registering you agree to follow all protocols, and understand that any violation may result in cancellation of your reservation and excuse from the premises without refunds.
